The Enrico And Enrica Sovena Foundation announces a competition for 2 one-year scholarships in the amounts of € 18.000,00 each.

The competition is limited to graduates in medicine and surgery and other medical disciplines.

Scholarships in medicine and surgery are intended primarily for graduates in the fields indicated below, but research in emerging fields of science and technology will also be considered.
- genital-urinary tract surgery
- video-assisted minimally invasive surgery
- re-constructive plastic surgery
- orthopaedics and traumatology

Italian and foreign citizens may apply.

Documentation to be included with the application:
1) University transcript

2) Curriculum vitae including personal data (date of birth, address and telephone number) and a clearly written statement listing the candidate's educational and professional background and intentions.

3) Thesis title defended at graduation and a list of publications.

4) Programme of the research to be carried out together with a letter of presentation written by the candidate's advisor and a description of how the scholarship will be used.

5) A letter of approval from the institute where the research will be done.

6) Other information the candidate may believe useful to the Committee.

7) The candidate must declare that he/she will renounce the Foundation's financial aid in the event he/she is awarded other scholarships.

ONLY APPLICATIONS postmarked before June 30 will be considered for the following academic year.

FUNDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS will be assigned by the examining committee and decisions will be final. Winners will receive a registered letter stating that they have been awarded a scholarship.

CANDIDATES must present a detailed account of the activities they carried out while they were the beneficiaries of a scholarship, cash grant or contribution as soon as the period of the same is over.

PUBLICATIONS pertinent to research carried out while making use of the scholarships or funds must mention that the researcher received assistance from the Enrico and Enrica Sovena Foundation.

WINNER of a scholarship must send the Foundation President a letter of acceptance within 30 days of receipt of the registered letter confirming that they have been awarded a scholarship.
