Application guidelines for graduates in medicine and surgery and other medical disciplines who wish to apply for

- Cash grants to carry out research at universities and other institutions

- Funds or contributions to expenses incurred during travel for study purposes, courses taken for professional development, training courses, and courses to specialise in the sciences.

Information to be included with the application:

1) Personal data
- name
- date and place of birth
- marital status
- residence
- telephone number, mobile phone number, fax, e-mail

2) Curriculum vitae, including
- thesis title and list of publications
- other academic works
- present place of employment
- other scholarships previously obtained
- knowledge of foreign languages

3) university transcript

4) title and outline of the research to be carried out or of the courses to be attended

5) place and duration of the research, professional development, on training course

6) approval on the part of the institute where the research will be done and a letter
of presentation written by the candidate's advisor

ONLY APPLICATIONS postmarked before June 30 will be considered for the following academic year.

FUNDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS will be assigned by the examining committee and decisions will be final. Winners will receive a registered letter stating that they have been awarded a scholarship.

CANDIDATES must present a detailed account of the activities they carried out while they were the beneficiaries of a scholarship, cash grant or contribution as soon as the period of the same is over.

PUBLICATIONS pertinent to research carried out while making use of the scholarships or funds must mention that the researcher received assistance from the Enrico and Enrica Sovena Foundation.

WINNERS of a scholarship must send the Foundation President a letter of acceptance within 15 days of receipt of the registered letter confirming that they have been awarded a scholarship.
